How To Connect to an Excel File on SharePoint Using Power BI

1)  Open the file on SharePoint in the Web

2)   Click on the Editing drop down menu

3)  Click on Open in Desktop App

     

4)  In the Excel Desktop App, Click File

5)  Click Info

6)  Click Copy path


7)  Open Power BI Desktop

8)  Select Get Data

9)  Select Web


10)  Paste in the path from file

11)  Remove text from ‘?’ to the end of the string (should end in .xlsx)

          

12) Select OK

13) Choose Organizational account for authentication
